Experience. Passion. Diligence.

About Us

Sara Michael, formally a partner at the law firm of Hendren and Andre, hired Gaylin Rich Carver in 2006, after she had wrapped up a long, contested campaign for Cole County Prosecuting Attorney.  Sara, with 10 years of experience in representing people through divorces, custody issues, and other family law areas, quickly took Gaylin under her wing.  They became fast friends, and three years later left their large law firm to establish Carver and Michael, LLC.   A new firm that was built on a spirit of commitment to their clients with individualized representation tailored to meet the needs of each client.

Now, an established and respected law firm in the Mid-Missouri area, having been in existence for more than seven years, the reputation of Carver & Michael continues as a firm that provides advocacy, advice, and personalized, diligent representation to each of their clients.

In 2014, Michael Dallmeyer, joined Carver & Michael LLC.  Michael, having been a close friend and mentor, is a welcome addition to the firm.   He brings exceptional knowledge and experience in the area of insurance defense and pursuing claims against insurance companies, personal injuries, and representing the interests of small businesses.

Of Counsel

Michael A. Dallmeyer

Having practiced law in Jefferson City for nearly 40 years, Michael brought a wealth of experience and expertise when he joined the firm in 2014.  For many years he was the managing partner at the venerable law firm of Hendren and Andrae until its merger in 2010 with the national law firm of Polsinelli based in Kansas City.  In 2011 he started a solo practice, which he maintained until joining Carver & Michael.

During his legal career, Michael has been the lead attorney in over 50 jury trials, and even more cases that were tried to a judge.  Most of his jury trial experience involved representing policyholders of insurance companies who were sued by personal injury claimants who were injured in car crashes, by dangerous conditions on private or commercial property or by products alleged to be defective.  However, for the last five years he has focused on representing injured clients who have been the victim of negligent drivers, dangerous conditions of property and defective products.   As a result he has a unique perspective and knowledge concerning the claims handling policies and procedures of insurance companies that works to the advantage of his clients.

Michael also has extensive experience representing small business owners, and he has been certified by the SBA as a designated closing attorney.  He also has been successful obtaining fair settlements for people who were having difficulty settling their claims against their own insurer due, in large part, to his knowledge of the insurance regulatory system.

He is admitted to practice in Missouri and Kansas state courts, and in both the Eastern and Western District federal courts, and Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Michael and his wife, Rita, have four adult children, and several grandchildren.  Together, with Rita at the helm, they continued a family owned and operated business, Dallmeyer's Jewelry, for many years. He enjoys golf, hunting, sailing and traveling.
